About Me

My photo
Ann Knickerbocker
I am a painter. My portfolio can be found at annknickerbocker.com and my Instagram account is artistinanaframe. Over 20+ years, we took our children to France as often as we could, for 7 summers, and for 8 months in the Poitou-Charentes. Then the two of us spent two years in Normandy, where we bought a 19th-century stone house. But, we discovered we couldn't really BE French. We lived for seven years in Northern California, where I was a member of the wonderful Gallery Route One in Point Reyes Station. We left to come back East, first to Western Massachusetts, and in February 2020, we moved to Old Saybrook, Connecticut. I am en elected member of the Essex Art Association and a member of Gallery One CT. Another blog "A Small, Fine-Art Sketchbook," a story with images, was written from February through June of 2013. And, before that, is my blog from 2010, available on my website.
